Nike Air Jordan V Laney White/Varsity Maize-Varsity Royal-Black (136027-189)
The Nike Air Jordan V 'Laney' White/Varsity Maize - Varsity Royal Black 136027-189 will be getting a very well deserved re-release this November and will be available to buy at Kong. The Nike Air Jordan V 'Laney' is a tribute to Michael Jordan's High School, Laney High and the colourway matches the colour of his High School. Here's a little knowledge for you, Michael Jordan didn't actually make the High School Basketball Team during his first try out!
The Nike Air Jordan V 'Laney' features Premium White Leather uppers with royal accents on the tongue and midsole which are offset nicely by the hint of varsity maize and black. The Jordan V originally released way back in 1990 and was designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield, the man behind many Nike classics including the Nike Air Max 87 aka Nike Air Max 1. Tinker Hatfield took inspiration from the World War II Mustang Fighter Plane whilst designing the Air Jordan V, the most notable features have to be the Shark Tooth featured at the front of the Midsole providing not only a great look but also more traction on the Court. The Nike Air Jordan V was also the first Jordan Sneaker to feature Lace Locks.
Like the majority of Nike Air Jordan Retro releases, the demand on the Nike Air Jordan V 'Laney' 136027-189 is going to be very high as the last time they were available was back in 2000. Kongonline.co.uk will be receiving a very limited number and sizes will be pretty sparse in the grand scheme of things especially with the demand for Retro Jordan Sneakers in the US. Scheduled for a Global Release Date on Saturday 2nd November (subject to change) and will retail for £135.00.X
